21 August 2021 San Mateo: Students for a Carbon Fee and Dividend
A climate demonstration held in Central Park in San Mateo, CA, and organized by Citizens' Climate Lobby San Mateo Youth. Attendees showed their support for a Carbon Fee and Dividend at both the state and federal level.
Speakers included State Senator Josh Becker, Speaker of the California Assembly Kevin Mullin, SMC Supervisor Dave Pine, and Deputy Mayor of San Mateo Rick Bonilla, as well as student speakers. Members of the Stanford Marching Band accompanied the demonstration.
