This January 18 Women’s March in Walnut Creek was part of nationwide Women’s Marches. People gathered at Civic Park, where they heard speeches from local and state representatives. Congressman Mark DeSaulnier of California’s 11th Congressional District also spoke. The general theme was the power of voting in November. Several hundred participants then marched through downtown Walnut Creek.
